GCSE PE SYLLABUS

To gain a good grade the student will need to understand and demonstrate that they have the following.

Rules and Regulations.

  • a working knowledge of standard individual and synchronised competitions

  • a sound knowledge of safety procedures,

  • ability to undertake the role of an official.

Skill Area

Evidence of the ability to analyse and improve their own and others' performance.

  • the ability to recognise, explain and analyse trampoline performance.

  • understanding of  the discipline of performance and of the danger element in this activity.

  • the ability to be able to plan and implement a training schedule relevant to the fitness demands of Trampolining.

Personal Performance.

  • perform a selection of the basic skills of Trampolining such as are illustrated below.

  • Straight jumping and checking

  • Tuck jump

  • Pike jump

  • Straddle jump

  • 1/2 twist jump

  • Full twist jump

  • Seat drop

  • Front drop

  • Seat drop, ½ twist to feet

  • ½ twist to seat drop

  • ½ twist to seat drop ½ twist to feet

  • Seat drop, 1/2 twist to seat (swivel hips)

  • Front drop to seat drop

  • ½ twist to front drop

  • Back drop

  • Hands and knees, forward turnover to back drop

  • Back drop 1/2 twist to feet

  • 1/2 twist to back drop

  • Front drop, ½ twist to feet

  • Seat drop to front drop

  • Seat drop, ½ twist to back drop

  • Seat drop, full twist to feet

  • Seat drop, full twist to seat drop (roller)

  • Front drop, ½ turn to front (½ turn table)
